AcuMed Clinic is a full integrative medical practice — not just an acupuncture studio. Every new patient begins with a comprehensive Medical Evaluation performed by our Nurse Practitioner under physician supervision. This evaluation drives your individualized treatment plan across all services at the clinic.
What the Evaluation Includes
Your Medical Evaluation is a complete clinical assessment conducted by our licensed Nurse Practitioner. It covers vitals, a comprehensive health history, physical examination, medication review, and a full review of your existing diagnoses and treatment history.
The NP works under the direct supervision of our collaborating Medical Director, ensuring physician-level oversight of every evaluation. This collaborative model allows us to offer the full scope of an integrative medical practice — from clinical assessment through prescriptive treatment planning.
Your Treatment Plan
At the conclusion of your evaluation, the NP prescribes your individualized treatment plan. This plan coordinates all relevant services at AcuMed Clinic — acupuncture, injection therapy, BEMER, laser therapy, massage, herbal medicine, and more — into a single, cohesive clinical strategy.
Your treatment plan is not a generic protocol. It is built around your specific diagnosis, your current medications, your health history, and your goals. Because our NP can prescribe across the full spectrum of integrative modalities, you receive a truly coordinated plan — not a menu of disconnected services.
Insurance Coverage
Medical Evaluations at AcuMed Clinic are covered by BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, and VA Community Care from day one. Medicare enrollment is in progress.
