AHM Properties
In AHM, soy milk is viewed as a tonifying and moistening drink that nourishes Lung and Stomach Yin, supports Qi, and benefits the Kidney. It has long been a traditional morning staple in many Chinese households. Like dairy milk, it is best consumed warm, and warming spices can be added to prevent its cool, damp nature from placing unnecessary strain on the Spleen.
Soy milk provides the same isoflavones and anti-inflammatory compounds as whole soybeans in a more bioavailable form, supporting its AHM role as a cooling, nourishing beverage that tonifies Yin and generates fluids.
Contraindications
Avoid in phlegm-damp conditions. Always warm before drinking — cold soy milk weakens Spleen Yang. Avoid adding cold ingredients.
