AHM Properties

Grapes build Qi, Blood, and Liver-Kidney Jing, strengthen tendons and bones, encourage fluid elimination through urination, and ease the spirit. Dark-colored grapes are among the most effective fruits for nourishing Blood. Raisins offer a concentrated and convenient alternative. Grapes are known to counter fatigue, support the sinews, and aid recovery from illness. Their sweet-sour flavor reaches both the Liver and Spleen at the same time.

Grapes, particularly dark varieties, are rich in resveratrol and proanthocyanidins — polyphenols with potent anti-inflammatory properties that support their AHM role in tonifying Qi and Blood while calming the Liver.

Contraindications

Avoid excess in damp conditions. Dark grapes are more tonifying than green.
